"Oh, it was a joke," she assures him with a pat against the arm. "I don't really think you'd steal him, I was just kidding around with you. You wouldn't steal him just like I wouldn't steal your paramour."

Mostly because he wasn't the one she'd decided she wanted. Maybe if she'd seen him first and found that she wanted to have some fun, he would have but she'd seen Damen and he was just too delicious to pass up.
